What is chipboard used for?

Chipboard, also known as particleboard, is a type of engineered wood product made from wood chips and sawdust bonded together with a resin or glue. It is commonly used in the construction of furniture, cabinets, and shelves. Chipboard is an inexpensive and versatile material, but it is not as strong or durable as solid wood. It is also prone to swelling and warping when exposed to moisture. To improve its strength and durability, chipboard can be laminated with a veneer or coated with a synthetic resin. It may also be classified as medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or high-density fiberboard (HDF) depending on the density of the wood fibers.
